For
the members of his school that meant the loss of one of our greatest
teachers and for the members of martial arts family it signifies the
loss of one of the members of the second generation of masters.
Those
who remember him describe his humility, his pure technique and his
elegance in contact with the members of his school. In fact whenever
I have spoken of him and his karate with other masters both young
and old, they have all said the same thing: He is not strong, but
nobody has criticized him. His memory will be especially present in
the minds of the Americans, as he had more followers there.
My
last contact with him was last September when I went to visit him
unannounced at his house with two companions had the enormous luck
to spend time with him and to learn from him. Rest in peace.
